Although this does involve some restriction of your child's movement, Stokke offers an additional active safety measure: the harness, which further reduces the risk of falling. As your child learns to sit, the Tripp Trapp Baby Set provides comfortable support on the sides and from behind. It gives your child freedom of movement and helps them develop the important skill of sitting. Once your child is able to climb into and out of the chair independently, you can remove the Baby Set. This gives children greater freedom of movement and more independence.
